What Am I Thankful For?
What are you thankful for?
I'm thankful for family and friends and love and life and blessing and favor and health and strength and everything that is good. All good things are gifts from God. I'm thankful for all kinds of music. I'm thankful for the talents and gifts God has blessed me with.
I'm thankful for a job that I love and for what God is blessing me with in ministry. I'm thankful for a wonderful church full of incredible people. I'm thankful for the Church of God of Prophecy in the state of TN and for the International Offices! I'm thankful for people who find value in what I do but, more importantly, I'm thankful that God has used me to meet a need for His children. I am so honored and humbled.
I have very recently been working with a small church in a fairly nearby community that has touched me deeply. This church is full of wonderfully amazing people who have a zest and zeal for God and for reaching lost souls. Remember when that was our goal and purpose? Anyway, this church is in a wonderful state of transition to incorporate some new music. They're so excited! They are thinking "outside the box" in terms of reaching the next generation for Christ. When we focus on the task He has set out for us to do, we focus less on ourselves and what we want and desire and more on what He wants. That is where real breakthroughs occur. That is where "the rubber meets the road".
I love God's people. I love ALL people. I love music. I love ALL music that honors God. Why? Because people created it as an extension of themselves. I may not like it all, but I love the intention behind it. Honoring God is never a bad thing. We get into trouble when we disrespect or dishonor God. As long as our intention is right, He honors us. I love that.
Thank you, Lord, for the family, friends and blessings that are my life. Enjoy Walter Hawkins and the Love Center Choir. "Thank You, Lord for ALL You've done for me!"
